The Local and Company started negotiations Monday the 13th. A partial list of proposals was handed over to the Company from the Local.

Members of Smithville Telephone Co. represented by CWA Local 4818 voted to ratify their their new three year Collective Baragaining Agreement.

YOUR BARGAINING COMMITTEE MET WITH THE COMPANY TODAY IN AN EFFORT TO REACH AN AGREEMENT.

We met with the Company starting January 31 and will continue to meet everyday through expiration!!

The first session of bargaining ended yesterday, January 17.

Lengthy discussions were held on the Company's retrogressive proposals on eliminating Sunday Premium, and revamping Compensated Availability.

Bargaining started January 12.  The Company passed 13 retrogressive proposals dealing with everything from Benefits to Disability.

By a clear majority of those who voted, the tentative agreement with YP Holdings was ratified today.

On Friday, September 23, 2016, your CWA Bargaining Committee met in multiple negotiation sessions with the Company Committee.  During the afternoon bargaining session the Company Committee presented the Union Committee with what it described as their “final offer.”
