As you already know, you will be electing your next at&t Midwest Bargaining Committee who will serve in that capacity until the next committee is elected. We will conduct this election as we have in the past. The voting strength for each Local will be taken from the most recent membership development report. The number of votes for each local will be divided evenly among the constitutional officers present at the meeting with any odd number going to the President. The Local constitutional officers present may agree to give the Local President authority to cast all of their votes. We will take nominations for the five at large Bargaining Committee members and one Alternate. Votes will be counted and the top five will be accepted as the Bargaining Team. The sixth highest will be the Alternate.
Note!!
Constitutional Officers are those officers voted on by the entire local membership
In order to make the election run as smooth as possible, we will need eight (8) election committee members for the process. They, of course, cannot be candidates and do not have to be officers. Please share this with your delegation to the meeting. If anyone is interested in serving on the election committee for this meeting, please let Ron Honse know ASAP via email at rhonse@cwa-union.org so he will have time to discuss the process with them. As always, if you have any questions, please contact your CWA Representative.
