CWA D4 AT&T Midwest Bargaining Report #85

Monday was a long day of bargaining with only a little progress.  Our bargaining committee is focused on achieving a contract that maintains our standard of living, protects our jobs, and assures that both active employees and retirees are treated fairly.  AT&T, so far, has not been willing to do all of those things but wants us to choose between them.  We continue to explain to AT&T that we have helped them achieve some of their goals; they need to help us meet ours in return.  That is the path to a fair contract that works for both sides.  Bargaining will continue today.

Mobilization News:  Members across the Midwest continue to mobilize for our fight to win a fair contract at AT&T.  Remember to take the time to make sure each job you perform is a quality one and work safely!

Local 4108 in Saginaw is spreading the word to the public to "STOP CORPORTATE GREED!"  This is the billboard they have on I-75.

Contact your Local's mobilization coordinator or officers to find out about your Local's activities.

If you have not signed our online support petition, please visit StandUpForWorkers and spread the word to your family and friends!

The next report will be Wednesday, July 8, or sooner should developments warrant.
